What we commit to you

Cleaning and Disinfecting

We have invested in hands free taps, hands free soap dispensers and automatic closers on our fire doors so that we can keep doors open to avoid surface contact as much as possible. We have a specialist clean team who will be on site every hour that we are open, and will remain on site after we close to complete a deep clean. We have invested in a fogging machine which will ‘fog’ each room to ensure every inch of the room is reached with disinfectant. The fogging provides protection for seven days and will be completed each week. Our teams will be on hand to clean and sanitise all equipment and surfaces. Blue roll, disinfectant, wipes and hand sanitiser will be available in all areas of the building.

Our Team

Our team have had full training on the cleaning procedures. We have asked all staff to isolate if they, or anyone they live with, have symptoms of COVID-19. We’ve installed protective shields at that reception desks and have provided personal protective equipment (PPE) for all staff.

Social Distancing

Each area of the club will have a capacity based on size of the room and guidelines on social distancing. You will see signage around the building to guide you and help with the flow of people.

Classes

In line with social distancing guidelines we have marked out areas for each member in each studio to ensure every person has enough space. The timetable has been changed slightly to ensure we have adequate time between classes for thorough cleaning. Please note that we will not be providing mats or props in the Mind & Body studio so please bring your own. These can also be purchased at reception.

We will also soon be launching our new online platform, The Thames Club Online, which will supplement your training in club with online classes and workouts you can do anywhere! This is included in your membership and more details will be sent via email and can be found on our website in the coming days.

Gym

We have spread out the equipment in the gym so that there is plenty of space between each piece of kit. We have created new training areas to enable more members to train at any time. In the Thames Suite you will find five individual workout zones where small group classes will take place – ideal for some extra guidance and attention from your instructor and perfect if you’d prefer your own workout zone and kit! The new outside area offers plenty of space for some fresh air training and we’ve bought some new kit as well!

Unfortunately, we will not be able to run face to face consultations at the moment, however we appreciate that you may need some guidance and a new exercise programme so we will look at ways that we can do this remotely over the coming weeks.

Swim

We have added a new lane to help you space out and as always, will regularly check pool chemical levels to ensure they are within the recommended guidelines. The Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna will remain closed until further notice in order for us to adhere to social distancing, and cleaning requirements of these facilities. During family swim time we ask that parents keep their children close to ensure families can socially distance. Please note that during family swim time there will be two lanes for lane swimming available, with two people permitted in each lane. Please shower thoroughly before swimming in the changing rooms as the poolside shower will be out of action.

Changing Rooms

In order to manage social distancing, for the moment, the changing rooms will be open for people using the pool or Hot Yoga Club only and will have clear zones for changing at a safe distance. Hair dryers and straighteners will be removed temporarily. We appreciate that this is not ideal but we ask that you appreciate that our decision is in the interest of safety with regards to social distancing. As soon as we can we will open the changing rooms for members doing classes or using the gym. If using a locker please bring your own padlock. If you do not have one, they can be purchased from reception for £6 and will no longer be available to borrow. Toilet facilities in The Thames Suite will be closed.

Air Conditioning

There are certain settings for air conditioning that are compliant with regulation. Please do not amend the air conditioning controls on the walls. Also, please note that settings will be different for different rooms based on air flow, ceiling height etc. Rest assured that we are compliant with regulation and we as that you please support us in this.
